When I moved back into town from Michigan Tech (the infamous major/university change), I had put on the freshman 15-and-then-some, and I knew I needed to do something about it. Over the course of a couple years, I took off all the weight I put on and I was much healthier for it. The hardest part of the entire journey was that I had to do it essentially by myself… Seriously, my own mother thought I was starving myself because I was watching how much I was eating and not just smashing a pound of pasta every night.
That’s why I coach. I want to make sure I can help as many people as possible in their journey to a healthier, more well them. I want to be in their corner every step of the way. I know how hard it is to go through that journey alone, so for the past 5 years I have dedicated myself to learning and passing on my knowledge through coaching. I started with a personal training certification through the ISSA, but that has evolved and I now have a certificate in Nutrition Coaching and I have become a CrossFit Level 2 Trainer as well.
